Mar Roxas, Travel Blogger
Former DILG Secretary, Presidential Candidate and now Travel Blogger Mar Roxas has recently become internet famous and has captivated people's interest because of his candid thoughts and his beautiful pictures from around the Philippines. After falling short in the 2016 elections, Mar decided to travel the country as a way to unwind and as a way to say "Thank you" to the people who supported him throughout his campaign. To document his tour, he formed a blog where he regularly updates his readers on his adventures around the country.
After being in the public spotlight for most of his long career and even more so during the past few months, Mar's readers are now given a glimpse of his more casual side and his life as a civilian. We caught up with Mar on the Negros Occidental leg of his trip and with more people getting to know him due to his tour and the increasing popularity of his blog, we asked him if there was still something out there that people didn't know about him.
"My life is an open book, I've been in service for 20 years and what you see is what you get. I guess we'll discover it as we go along."
