Best time to visit?
Spring (March, April, May) and Fall (September and October). Those are my favorite seasons of the year. During spring, you can see flowers blooming everywhere. In fall, there are nice and cool breezes, clear skies, and beautiful mountains.
Must try local dishes?
I would like to introduce a few Korean dishes you must try when in Korea. All of my foreign friends love these, so no need to be scared of trying these out:
Samgyeopsal (Pork Belly BBQ: My all time favorite!)
Bibimbab (Rice with vegetables and chili pepper paste: Teng's favorite!)
Bulgogi (Grilled marinated beef)
ChiMac (Fried chicken with beer)
Your city's most popular tourist spot?
One of the most famous places would be Gyeongbok Palace located in the center of Seoul. It was a royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty, and constructed more than 600 years ago. Don't forget to catch a night view of the palace!
Any favorite local place or spot you would recommend to a visitor in your city?
Han River (Popular area during Spring Flower Festival. You can have a picnic here with food delivery. Try ChiMac here!)
Itaewon (I would say Itaewon is one of the youngest and trendiest places in Seoul. It is crowed with young and foreign people day and night.)
Important local phrases?
An-nyeong-ha-se-yo (Hello and goodbye)
Kam-sa-ham-ni-da (Thank you)
Geon-bae (Cheers!)
Masissoeyo (It's delicious)
Egeo Eol-ma-ye-yo? (How much is it?)
Bi-ssa-yo (It's expensive)
