London, United Kingdom

In a world full of beautiful cities, good old London stands heads and shoulders above the others.

Gray and gloomy, but bursting with activity, London is a fast-paced city located in one of the financial, historical and cultural centers of the world. Speak to someone who’s been to London and they will surely tell you that it’s a destination that you must see once in your lifetime.

One of the things that makes London so special is that it is teeming with history. From culture to fashion, music to movies, to the rise and fall of empires – London is history.

A major influence in pop culture and music, London is also notably the birthplace of one of the greatest bands in history – The Beatles. No trip is complete without reliving some of their greatest moments, from recreating the iconic crossing photo at Abby Road to checking out where Beatlemania was born: The London Palladium. There are even Beatles Cafes and memorabilia shops for the Superfans out there who still can’t get enough of the awesome foursome.

From there, you can take a tour of the city on the ever-iconic London Double Decker bus – a national symbol of both England and the United Kingdom as a whole. Use it to get around the city so you can check out the London Eye, The British Museum, the Tower of London or even The Royal Museums Greenwich.

With royalty in mind, your trip to London wouldn’t be complete without visiting the most notable spots relating to British Monarchy. Check out Buckingham Palace, and make sure to catch the changing of the guards. Also make a visit to Kensington Palace -- the official listed address of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate.

Finally, you can’t miss Westminster Abbey a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s hosted sixteen royal weddings and the crowning of monarchs since 1066. Aside from being the most important church in London, Westminster Abbey has been the traditional venue of choice for royalty, a venue that has housed everything from coronations to burials of famous English monarchs and other important English personalities. Modern Westminster has many museums and places of interest to check out for travellers to take a more detailed look into British history.
