Our choices in life will always be influenced by the things around us – whether it’s our parents, our friends, what we learn in school, what we see on television, or what we experience in our surroundings. As we grow up, our experiences and memories mold our minds and play a major role into shaping our personalities as we mature.
There was a noon time show in the 90s with a segment called “Little Miss Philippines” and the hosts would always ask the contestants this question - “What do you want to be when you grow up and why?” and more often than not they’d always answer “Doctor”, because they said they wanted to help other people.
We were curious to find out what the younger generation's answer to those questions would be today.
We asked some mommies to be our accomplices to ask their kids precisely those questions. We also asked them not to coach their children so we could get their truthful answers.
Surprising, cute and hilariously honest, these were their answers to the big questions we gave them.

“I want to be a builder because I love building blocks, and I want to be a doctor because I would take care of blocks, and I want to be an artist because I love painting.”

“I want to be a chef, so I can cook food for people. Because if my parents are hungry and they have no food in the house they can just go to my restaurant and I’m gonna give them free food.”

"I want to achieve to be a good cooker coz I want to try cooking egg or something easier, or something else like chicken, or something burgers, steak or I don't know or maybe all those stuff.”

“If I have 5 jobs I will become really rich! I can buy my own Ipad and visit France. I will use my extra money to make my companies big.”

"I'd like to be an engineer. So I can be rich, help the poor, and help others."

"I like to achieve my goals that is being an engineer and becoming a soccer player. And also I want to make comic books. Because it’s like my hobby, I always draw in my notebook and I think I’m good at making comic books."

Well I plan on lots of things, but I’d rather be a pediatrician. I also have some other choices like maybe a scientist. A baker and a chef.

My specialty: the crabs. I’ll name it The SSS: Seafood, Supreme Special.

"I want my own family but I want my family to be with you (mommy), and also the ates (yaya) and also dad. And also No and Do (Grandparents).
I also want my own car that has a cool design but I also want you and daddy to be with me."

“I want to be a good person. So I can be a good person because I go to a holy Catholic school, and I was a boy scout so I want to be a good person. Help others at all times. Helping other people at all times is part of the thing we say in the morning.
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; and to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Jobwise same with daddy, computer work, because I just want to do the same work as daddy did.
I want to be a math teacher because I’m good at math.
Don't do bad things. If I see anybody injured, I can help them up."
